Fine Art Portrait:
Aleksandr Munaev
I like how the focus is on the face and everything else is slightly blurred. The contrast between the blue and red dominates the photo. Her green eyes are bright and intense(clear) which stands out compared to the rest of the photo.
Vlad Bara
I like the story that this photo expresses. The body position and clothing project a shy everyday teenage girl. She's not wearing high end clothing or a bunch of makeup. The intensity in the eyes bring the photo together, natural beauty.
Commercial Portait:
Joel Grimes
I am into sports so this photo tells a relatable story. Because of the lighting it makes me think she is at morning practice. The photo is realistic and not just selling the clothing. She does this by having her hair back and her workout bag is out, just like I do. To me she is selling fitness and that life style.
Harper's Bazaar
This portrait is definitely selling fashion. I like this photo because its different than your typical fashion portrait. The background contrasts so much with the dress.
Covers:
This portrait is selling fashion but its telling a story. The pattern on the back wall, the dress, and the crown create a feeling of a modern day princess/queen. The text pops but it does take away from the photo.
I like this cover because there is a clear color theme, yellow and blue. The hat and clothing give a feeling of vacation or summer. The text pops but it doesn't take away from the photo.
